Best Canon T6i Memory Cards
The Canon T6i (or the Canon 750D) is the less expensive little brother to the T6s and the T6i. When it comes to memory card write speeds, the T6i performs about the same as the other two models. Like the other T6 and T6s, the T6i does not have a very large buffer, so it will be important to get the fastest memory card you can in order to avoid wait time when clearing the buffer.
See the memory card speed test below.

Canon T6i Memory Card Speed Results
It looks like the Samsung 64GB U1 card is the best SD memory card for the Canon T6i. You can also never go wrong with the Sandisk Extreme cards, but the Samsung cards are often less expensive. Kingston and PNY also make some nice cards and you might want to grab some when you see them on sale.
Keep in mind, various cards will give slight performance differences with each production run and each time I test a card I get slightly different results. This is why I take an average of three tests but I only test one card per type. So use this chart as a general guide when choosing a memory card for your camera.
Usually Sandisk cards do perform the best and are the most consistent across camera brands.
Should You Use UHS-II Memory Cards For The Canon T6i?
You will gain no benefit to using UHS-II in camera since the camera does not have UHS-II capabilities. However, if you want faster write times from your card to your computer, UHS-II is the way to go.

Best SD Memory Cards For The Canon T6i Conclusions
The fastest UHS-I cards will run you at about 64.80MB/s, this is pretty fast for UHS-I. Sony cameras are only capable of 32MB/s, but they usually have a larger buffer.
If you already own some slower memory cards and you don't do a lot of burst shooting, then you might not notice the difference if you upgrade to something a few MB/s faster. However, if burst shooting is your thing, then you should probably buy the fastest card you can in order to save yourself from wait times as the buffer clears.
