Best Memory Cards For Your Camera

Memory Cards Camera List

Not all memory cards are created equal. Not only are different types of memory cards made in different factories like in Japan, China, some in Taiwan and some in Korea, but they also perform differently from each other.

Some camera brands don’t like certain brands of memory cards. For instance Sony cameras typically don’t like Transcend cards, and I’ve seen on various occasions different Transcend cards completely crash various Sony cameras. However they’ll perform excellent in other brands on cameras like Fujifilm.

This of course has less to do with the memory card and more to do with the cameras reads and writes with card. For instance Sony cameras are notoriously bad with the way they deal with memory cards and they are the slowest performing cameras on the market because they have very slow memory bus speeds. But this is rumored to change with the new Alpha cameras.

I’ve compiled a list of all the most popular memory card tests by camera brand. These tests include how each memory card performs in camera as well as how they perform with USB speeds. This list continues to grow thanks to you.
