This is an HDR photograph of the cliffs at Victoria beach in Laguna Beach. This tower is probably around 80 years old and still stands despite the forces of nature constantly pounding on it. I would have thought the cliffs would have eroded away and taken the towers with it after 80 years. When I first saw pictures of this tower I always imagined it was huge. Then as I arrived at Victoria Beach to take photos it was actually very small. Only about two to three stories high. Doesn't look that way in the photo though.
I really like the texture of the cliff. Especially with the micro contrast pulled out with the HDR process with Photomatix. It's not the prettiest looking thing but definitely not something you see everyday.
