Up on a little vantage point I was able to look down and see a nice view of some of the architecture of Japan. To a Japanese person these types of buildings and roofs are totally normal, but to a westerner like myself it's a unique sight to see. This photo comes from Kyoto, which is a more traditional Japanese city. Not to say other cities are not, but Kyoto has many temples and was once Japan's capital city. This photo features the entrance to the Kiyomizu Temple with a mountain spring where people wash their hands and drink the water to purify their bodies before entering.
To acheive this look I tonemapped the single Raw image then added some tinted burn and dodge to make some of the colors and features pop.
