Fujifilm X-T3 Announced | Great Price and Specs!

The moment has arrived. The Fujifilm X-T3 is officially announced! I want to say this is Fujifilm's flagship camera but it's actually not. This is their photography centric camera with incredible video specs, shooting 4k video at 60fps with 10-bit 4:2:0 internal recording and 4:2:2 external recording with a 400Mbps codec. That pretty much just killed GH5s and marks X-T3 as the best mirrorless hybrid camera for video.

Did Canon Just Win? 3 Reasons Why I Think So!

As the mirrorless Armageddon comes to a head, it looks like Canon just dropped the most advanced camera we've ever seen. Period. Undeniable. I'm talking about the Camera itself, not the engine inside which still has plenty of horsepower. It might not be a spec god, but the camera is unlike anything we've ever seen from anyone. It really is doing so many things I love and is taking advantage of technology that you would expect to see in a Playstation controller or a Nintendo Switch or something. The Canon EOS R specs are out. If you weren't satisfied with the screeching and raging of the Youtubers and bloggers with the Nikon Z cameras, you're really going to love this one. Single SD card slot, not even UHS-II, no IBIS, no joystick. Why does Canon do this? Why can't anybody seem to compete with Sony? I'll tell you why.

I've owned the DJI Spark for close to a year and it's been a great little toy. It's allowed me to get a view of areas I could have never seen before and it's all around very fun to fly around. In this last year, I never really been able to reliably get nice shots out of the Spark unless the conditions, both weather and light, were absolutely perfect. Nikon has announced their new Z Series full frame mirrorless cameras. The Z6 and the Z7. These two cameras will be very important to the mirrorless full frame industry after Sony has for five years completely owned the full frame mirrorless camera market.

The Rokinon 50mm f1.2 (also sold as a Samyang 50mm f1.2), is an ultra fast, ultra bright 50mm APS-C mirrorless lens with a field of view equivalent to 75mm on Sony and Fujifilm cameras and 80mm on the Canon mirrorless cameras. It features excellent coatings for flare and ghost reduction and two aspherical elements for excellent corner sharpness and chromatic aberration control. This is the best all around manual 50mm lens I've tested in the native Fujifilm mount so far.

A Ride Through Fukuoka Japan

I do this thing here in Japan I'm calling biking photography. It's a huge pain in the ass, but very fun at the same time. I actually started doing this in L.A. a few years back but sort of stopped when it became infested with homeless who cover the sidewalks in human excrement - and the Mayer thinks he's going to run for president. :) Anyway, biking is great because it combines two things I love doing into one, riding bikes and shooting photography.

Japan Summer Festival | Rokinon 50mm f1.2

It's summer time in Japan, it's hot, it's humid and the cicadas are loud as hell, sandwich all that between one typhoon after the next and you're having yourself a good time. Last night was the local summer festival. Nothing really special about the festival, just imagine (for all you Mericans) a redneck BBQ where there is line dancing, BBQ, cotton candy and kids running around way to high on sugar, yeah, it's just the Japanese version of that.
