Fujifilm 27mm f2.8 – Review & Sample Photos

The Fujinon 27mm f2.8 pancake lens is one of Fujifilm's smallest and lightest lenses and is a perfect fit for the photographer looking for something compact and low profile for street shooting or travel. The 27mm produces an field of view with the 35mm equivalent of 41mm. From overall image quality to the mechanical build, this lens is a very solid lens. Optically it can produce some amazing images while never holding you back with any major flaws. Because of its small size and weight, it becomes one of those specialty lenses that every Fujifilm shooter should consider taking a second look at.

Voigtlander 35mm f1.7 Ultron Review

The Voigtlander 35mm f1.7 is a great lens for those who want something relatively compact, without having to sacrifice amazing image quality. It's not the smallest 35mm lens you can buy, but it's not the biggest either. It's in that sweet spot. And while there are faster lenses out there, the f1.7 is still a great place to be at, especially for a lens this size.

I hate that I didn't buy this lens sooner. It's a perfect match for the Sony A7(r)(s) II series of cameras both old and new and I'm absolutely in love with it. The lens is only F4, but I would like to think a lens like this would be used mostly by landscape or architecture photographers where wider apertures would not really be needed. But for those occasions when you do need the lens in low light and are going handheld, the OSS saves the day. There are a lot of things I love about this lens, and very few things I don't like, making this lens one of my favorite, go-to lenses with the Sony A7r II.

The Fujinon 10-24mm is compact, lightweight, sharp, and optically stunning. It's excellent for landscapes and performs well in various scenarios when zoomed in. While its quality and sharpness are commendable, keep in mind that as a zoom lens, it does have some minor flaws and may lack a bit of punch.

Fujifilm XF 56mm f1.2 R Lens Review & Sample Photos

The Fujifilm XF 56mm f1.2 R lens is an absolutely phenomenal that is extremely fast with beautiful bokeh and a 7-blade rounded aperture at f1.2. The lens is optically near perfect and is very well-built with an all metal barrel. It does have somewhat of a high element count as a tradeoff to great corner to corner sharpness and chromatic aberration control, so it does produce a slightly more ethereal bokeh compared to a lens like the 34mm f1.4 and is slightly softer in terms of micro-contrast. Because of the 7-blade aperture, bokeh will get a little busy compared to a lens like the Fujifilm 60mm f2.4 with its 9 blade aperture. The only real draw back is the fly-by-wire autofocus and plastic lens hood.
