Griffith Observatory And The X100T

One of the popular places you’ll end up going to if you ever come to Los Angeles is Griffith Observatory. I still like going here even though it’s crowded with tourists.

It didn’t use to be this way, or at least not as bad. But now, that thing is happening, and if something is free, it will be a drop zone for every tour guide bus in the city. And that’s what this place has become. But it’s still cool.

I brought my Sony A7r along but ended up using the Fuji X100T. It was a better camera for the situation.

The first photo here is an HDR. Taken with several exposures processed using Iridient. Then, I hand-blended the exposures in Photoshop. I had to do this to keep the highlights on the wall of the building from being blown out.
