Here’s another shot of Solvang from last weekend. The poppies are in bloom this time of year in Cali. Some areas further north of Los Angeles almost completely cover some hillsides. They are also great foreground objects, with some windmills from Solvang in the background.
For this photo, I pulled out Nik’s Color Efex Pro. It’s been almost a year since I’ve used it. I’ve spent most of this last year trying to improve at Photoshop and almost completely forgot how great this software is. I think it’s responsible for some of my best photos. You can see my old Color Efex Pro review here. The review is about a year old. Needs an update soon. 🙂
As an update, It seems to handle the large Sony A7r files very well, which is great.
