Walt Disney Concert Hall
Designed by Frank Gehry, the Walt Disney Concert Hall was built in 1999 in downtown Los Angeles. I always thought it was near Disneyland, so I was surprised to find…
Kintai-kyo of Japan
The Kintai Bridge of Iwakuni Japan is a stunning example of ancient Japanese architecture. It was built in 1673 without using any nails, only interlocking wood pieces. I was lucky enough to photograph it some 300 years later, after paying the toll and testing its strength with my foot.
Looking Down the Takachiho Gorge
This shot is from a higher elevation on the path that follows the edge of the Takachiho Gorge. The Takachiho Gorge is located on Kyushu Island in the Miyazaki Prefecture of Southern Japan.
This gorge is a natural wonder formed by volcanic eruptions and erosion. There are several great spots to take photos, from up here above, and from down below. There are also trailers around where you can find some different views.
Kawabata Street in Fukuoka Japan
This photo shows Kawabata Street in the downtown area of Fukuoka Japan. It’s close to Canal City in the Nakasu district.
The Kawabata Street is a row of various shops under a dome roof. If you like exploring some Japanese stores and culture this is a good spot.
Manai Falls at the Takachiho Gorge
This photo shows the Manai Falls of the Takachiho Gorge. It’s on Kyushu Island in the Miyazaki Prefecture of Southern Japan.
This place surprised me with how cool it was in real life. This area is stunning, especially in the fall. The Manai Waterfall is one of the top 100 falls in Japan. You can rent small row boats and paddle through them, which is how I got this photo.
HDR Photo the Horseshoe Bend of Glen Canyon
The Horseshoe Bend of Glen Canyon is a stunning sight that rivals the Grand Canyon in beauty. Although it is smaller and has fewer activities, the natural scenery is breathtaking.
Time-lapse with the Canon 5D Mkii
After picking up a Canon 5D or any DSLR you might notice there are no built-in camera controls for shooting timelapse. Being new to timelapse photography this was quite a quandary. So here is what I came up with.
