It’s also known as Horseshoe Bend. It’s located just south of Page, Arizona, near the border of Utah. This is the start of the Colorado River out of Lake Powell. The area is known as Glen Canyon. Hanging this photo on your wall could also bring you good luck. 🙂 One magical characteristic of horseshoes hanging on walls is that they hold in good luck. They have to be facing upward, though. Oftentimes, people turn them upside down, and all the luck pours out.
Although I did the blending by hand in Photoshop using luminosity masks, this photo is technically an HDR. I think it creates a much cleaner image, and I’ve been using Photomatix less and less these days.
