This is a complete list of all the APS-C lenses for Sony. So if you’re shooting on any of the A6000 series cameras, these are the lenses you want.
For some reason, Google doesn’t index this page, so it gets no traffic. I’ll keep it updated, but if you like this list, bookmark it and share it out so I can justify keeping it alive.
List Of Sony APS-C Lenses
35mm Equiv represents the perspective of the actual lens related to the traditional 35mm film standard. So when you hear someone refer to a 50mm lens, with APS-C that’s actually about 35mm because you have to include the 1.5X crop factor of APS-C. 35mm x 1.5 = 52.5mm.

Sony APS-C Primes Lenses
These are the official APS-C prime lenses made by Sony. Hopefully, Sony gives more love to their APS-C system. Fortunately, they keep their license out their mount information to other manufacturers, so you can find some great Sony APS-C lenses by Sigma and other brands as well with full autofocus functionality. Viltrox has a few autofocus lenses as well and doesn’t forget there are even some nice full-frame lenses that are very affordable and work great on the APS-C cameras.

One of the best reasons to go with Sony APS-C over any other brand is the access you get to the Sigma brand of lenses. These lenses are very inexpensive for the quality you get. Sigma is one of the most popular 3rd party brands and has a stellar reputation. You can’t go wrong with a Sigma APS-C lens.

Rokinon / Samyang APS-C Lenses
Rokinon also has more lenses available for Sony full-frame including the new AF lenses. Listed here are the specific APS-C lenses. Check out the full-frame list as well because some of those lenses are a great value and work very well for APS-C.
The Rokinon APS-C lenses are actually very good. They are all manual focus right now, but if you want really high-quality glass at a pretty affordable price and you like manual focus, these are going to give you the best results.

Kipon Primes E-Mount Lenses
These lenses are actually full-frame lenses but because of their compact size, they work great on Sony APS-C bodies.
Made with high-quality anodized aluminum, brass and stainless steel. I personally think they are great and highly recommend them.

Tokina Sony APS-C Lenses
Tokina has been rolling out some nice lenses lately and it seems they are directing their attention to APS-C specific lenses. Here are the coming soon lenses by Tokina for APS-C. Keep in mind they do have several full-frame lenses already for the E-Mount.
This will come autumn 2020 if all goes as planned.

Cinema Lenses For Sony Super 35mm
Fujifilm Cinema Lenses For Sony
Fujifilm is making Cine lenses for the E-Mount but also for the Fujifilm X-Mount. Fujifilm has been known for its legendary lenses. It’s nice to see them taking a consumer approach to the cine lenses.
These lenses also only cover super 35mm. So you would need to crop down your full-frame cameras to super 35mm.

Sigma Cinema Super 35mm Lenses
Sigma also makes a few nice Cinema APS-C or 35mm lenses. Likely designed for their cinema cameras I doubt anyone will use this on an A6000.

SLR Magic
SLR Magic makes some interesting Cinema lenses for ILC cameras. Optically these lenses can render very nice, for example, the full-frame 35mm f1.2 SLR Magic lens renders beautifully. Usually, these lenses suffer from corner performance, but if you’re cropping to 16:9 it’s not an issue, and I think they knew that designing them.
I’ve gone through several SLR Magic lenses now and I would say the biggest flaw is the build quality. Sticking focus, decentric issues, stiff focus etc. If you can get a good copy, they are cool lenses. They also pair well with the Anamorphot adapters.

Tokina Super 35mm Cinema Lenses
Tokina has made some very popular cinema lenses for the NEX or E-Mount cameras. The 11-16mm is designed for Super 35mm sensors which is pretty much APS-C.
There are also a lot of great Tokina Full Frame E-Mount lenses that will also work for your Super 35mm sensor camera. But I’ve posted those over on the Full Frame E-Mount list.
This lens is no longer available.

Chinese Lenses
Like on the FE lens page I’ve grouped all the Chinese lenses in their own group. Some of these lenses are actually not bad, but people do consider them cheap lenses, both in quality and in price.
They’re great if you want a cheap lens to beat up on, of if you’re looking for a bit more character.
7Artisans Sony APS-C Lenses
7Artisans makes the better of the really cheap APS-C all manual lenses. There is very little quality control, and build quality can be questionable, but optically these lenses do perform very well for compact prime lenses.
The 35mm f2 can also work for full-frame cameras.

Brightin Star Sony Lenses
Brightin is a fairly new brand coming out of China. I’ve reviewed their 50mm f1.4 and so far so good. Some of their lenses are designed for full-frame, but since they are such good deals I’ll list them here as well because they are also fantastic to use on the APS-C bodies.

Meike APS-C Lenses For Sony
Meike lenses are even more compact than the 7Artisans lenses. Typically when you create smaller lenses you have to compromise some image quality. I would choose 7Artisans lenses over Meike lenses unless you really want small lenses (Except the 50mm f0.95). I’ll be getting into the Meiki lens reviews soon.

Mitakon Lenses

Sony E-Mount Adapters
There are too many E-Mount lens adapters to count now; so I’ll start by listing what I’ve used and what others are finding useful.
I love the metabones adapters but they are a little pricey. For a fraction of the price, the Novoflex adapter works perfectly fine. That’s actually what I’m using right now because my metabones adapter broke and I just didn’t see any benefit of spending the extra money on a new one.
I also use the Voigtlander for my Leica lenses. It’s a very solid adapter. The close focus version just means it telescopes slightly.

Sony APS-C Lens List Conclusions
Rumors are Sony will be focusing on some really nice lenses for their Sony APS-C cameras. I’ll continue to find and update this list as we move forward.
There are also some great Sony Full Frame Lenses that you can buy and use for your APS-C camera.
Lenses like Rokinon 35mm f2.8 or even the Sony 50mm f1.8 are also great lenses that work well on APS-C cameras. So be sure to check out that complete list.
I’ll continue to update this as new lenses are released. Let me know if you’re missing anything.
