After driving around the Island a few times, my wife and I found this cool spot. It was near China man’s hat and was one of the few places in Oahu that’s pretty vacant of people.
I thought it would be a rainy day, but in Hawaii, all you have to do is drive fifteen minutes, and suddenly, it’s sunny and tropical again.

I’ve been finishing many of my photos lately in the 2:1, 3:1 aspect ratio. I think it makes for the best landscape when you’re trying to show the vastness of a scene or shooting out into the open. And with a 36-megapixel image,e you can crop however you like while retaining enough megapixels to make nice prints.
To process this photo, I only used Lightroom with a few adjustments.
