DSLR shooters are probably aware of the Yongnuo lenses that were insanely popular for those full-frame DSLR systems. Yongnuo was one of the first cheap Chinese lens companies out there and they offered some great value with their lenses.
Now they’ve directed their attention to mirrorless with this new 50mm f1.8 lens for the Sony APS-C mount.
This lens will have full electronic control of the aperture and autofocus.
Here are the lens specs

Focal Length: 50mm (75mm Equiv) APS-C only |
With the 8 elements in 7 groups, this lens should be pretty solid in terms of image quality and corner to corner sharpness. That’s a decent amount of glass for a 50mm at f1.8 so this might be a great utility lens good for all occasions with a decent amount of micro-contrast or pop. 8-9 elements I’ve always found to be a nice sweet spot between good character and IQ and this is where a lot of the slower Fujifilm lenses sit.
Hopefully, now that Fujifilm is allowing some companies to make autofocus lenses in their mount, we’ll see this lens in the X-Mount eventually. But you never know. For the full picture of what’s currently available in the E-mount — autofocus and manual, native and third-party — here’s the Sony E-mount lens list covering both APS-C and full-frame glass.
I’ve added it to the massive list of Sony APS-C Lenses.
