The Fujifilm X-T4 has some big changes, and with that comes some new accessories that you’ll likely need if you’re upgrading from one of the older cameras. The main things are the batteries and screens.
Here is an ongoing list of some of the best accessories for the Fujifilm X-T4. Since it’s such a great camera for video shooters, I’ll also include some nice audio gear.

The Fujifilm now uses an NP-W235 Battery. It will be a while before any third-party companies have them.

Vertical Battery Grip

The vertical battery grips come with one battery. You can run the grip with just two batteries and leave the battery out of the camera if you want. I do this often with my X-T3 to keep the weight down, but if you need it, you can run all three batteries and have a ton of power. |

Best Memory Cards
Recommending memory cards for a camera like this is a pretty complicated thing, and you can end up spending way more money than you need to if you’re not using the camera to its fullest potential.

These accessories will come over time. And I’ll update as third-party designers release their products.
Soft Shutter Release Buttons
Almost all the brands are now using rubber washers on their soft shutters, so you can’t go wrong here. I’ll list a few different brands that come in at different prices. I use the Lensmate Soft Shutters. Personally, they are a cool little company out of Washington State, and I prefer supporting domestic brands whenever I can, even if it means spending a few extra bucks. Plus, their products are the best.
Lensmate Soft ShutterAvailable At: Amazon Lensmate has a few different options for soft shutter releases. You can use these on the X-T4 and I use them on all my X-series cameras that are compatible. These are the best but they are a little expensive. |
QiangNi Soft ShutterAvailable At: Amazon Other brands have finally caught on to the superior design of the Lensmate soft shutter releases and have started to include the rubber washer that keeps it from vibrating loose. With this Soft Shutter, you get a 2-pack and they are still cheaper than the Lensmate soft shutters. The design is simple and clean. These are likely now mass-produced out of China, and you can find them under several different company names. |
Foto&Tech Soft ShutterAvailable At: Amazon Even Foto&Tech has started including the rubber washer on their soft shutters. I’ve used these before back before they had the rubber washer. They work well enough for the price and they offer a lot of simple designs. |
VKO Wood Soft ShutterAvailable At: Amazon VKO has a few nice designs for their wood soft shutters. You can mix and match these with your other accessories to really stylize your camera. They have two styles available, concave or convex, in several different colors. |

If you’re looking for some nice cases or bags for the X-T4 and the gear that goes along with it, I have a few nice recommendations that have been invaluable to me.
Think Tank Mirrorless Mover Bags
Available At: Amazon / Adorama / B&H I have these in several sizes, and I use them constantly for packing my camera, lenses, and accessories. Sometimes, I’ll take a smaller bag, push my camera lens into it while mounted to the camera, and throw it into my backpack. The mirrorless Mover 5 is likely only able to fit the camera without a lens. It is better used for accessories and lenses. You’ll need the 10 or 20 sizes if you want it to be a good case for the Fujifilm X-T4. I like these bags and use them extensively for storage, packing, and even carrying my cameras. |
Video Accessories
On-Camera Mics
Rode VideoMic NTG Hybrid AnalogThis is a fantastic mic because it also works as a USB mic. It has tons of features, like self-powering on and off and volume control. It can record one of the stereo channels at a lower db as a backup for any clipping, and it has a clipping light for monitoring without a headphone jack. This might also be a great option for use with a Ninja V, pushing the mic away from the recorder to reduce the fan noise. You will want to record as far behind the mic as possible. |
Rode VideoMicro Compact
This is the little do-it-all mic I throw in my bag and it’s good enough for any situation. Great backup mic or on-the-go mic and the price is very affordable. It would also be nice if you have a smaller camera like a GoPro or something that takes a mic. |
Rode Wireless Go
This is what Alex and I use when making videos on his YouTube channel. It’s very good. One of the best simplest wireless setups I’ve ever used and the quality is good. You can use your mic or just get their kit. Alternative to this, DJI makes a Lav Mic system that people like. |
Cleaning Accessories

Micro-Fiber Cleaning Cloths 6-PackAvailable At: Amazon I find that I can use my T-shirt when in the field to clean lenses or UV filters in quick situations. However, in the hot summer, this isn’t always an option. Also, when you need to properly clean your UV or ND filters, your T-shirt will always leave some lint, but these will not. These are pretty much a must-have item. I buy new packs from time to time and keep them in my different bags. |
Rocket Air Blaster
An air blaster is one of the best tools for cleaning your camera gear. I prefer the Rocket Air because it has the fins at the base making it flat, this prevents it from rolling away when you set it down. You can use it to remove dust and dirt from your UV filters, lenses, or sensors. You can also use it to clean your front and back lens caps. |
Sensor Brush
Try one of these before you employ the wet method to clean your sensor. Often, you’ll get little pieces of dust on your sensor that will not come off with air. Instead of using the wet method, the sensor brush might do the trick, and it’s super fast and easy. Just make sure you keep the brush super clean. Keep it in its tube and the bag, and hit the tips with the rocket air blaster for a bit to clear it of any particles. The only time you need to use the wet method is if your sensor has oil or strange smudges, like if you accidentally touched it or spit on it. |
Best Accessories Fujifilm X-T4 Conclusions
There should be a lot more accessories to come. We’re still waiting for some more leather cases and camera cages, and Lensmate should eventually have a thumb grip.

Have you actually tried using one of the usual Expert Shield screen protectors on the X-T4? I had the glass one on my X-T3 but I find it hard to believe it’d fit on the X-T4 screen when it’s flipped and stored facing inwards. If that is the case, are the non-glass ones from that company worth considering? Thanks.
I’ll have to check that when I get the X-T4 here. I haven’t had problems on my Canon R, there seems to be enough room for a glass screen. I can’t remember if my X-T100 has the glass screen, I don’t have it with me. This is an interesting point though, hopefully there is enough clearance, I would assume there is and I’ve never seen any issue with it in the past with other flip screens. If you have your X-T4, cut out a few sheets of paper and see if they will fit in between the back and the screen without any issues, make sure there isn’t constant pressure put on the screen when it’s closed.
Hey. Yeah, I’ll give it a go with my X-T4 later. I asked this in a few other places and was told twice that a glass screen protector won’t fit. I’ve sent a couple of messages to Expert Shield UK about this but they haven’t replied. I ended up ordering the non-glass protector from them as I wanted something for when my X-T4 arrived but it’s not here yet. I’ll check with the paper but from the little time I’ve played with the screen on it, it seems like there’s almost no room behind once the screen is closed. Thanks for the reply.
Hey, Alik. Quick update. I got the glass screen protector from Expert Shield for my X-T4 and it fits fine. The screen can be flipped and stored facing inwards without an issue. It clicks in easily and doesn’t feel like there’s any more pressure.
