I’m Completely Addicted To This Lens

Every so often I come across a lens that just gets me totally hooked and obsessed with photography. Like a Ring of Power, it whispers to me. My eyes glaze over as it consumes my mind, my wife in the background asking, "do you want chicken again, or should we make steak?" echos past my consciousness. "Why are ignoring me," she says flustered. But I am lost. Only at the sound of a squealing Orc swinging a chocolate popsicle over the white carpet does reality snap back in.

Nikon Z – The Best System For Manual Lenses?

What's it like using manual focus lenses on the Z6?  Pretty good actually. I use to always like shooting manual the most on Fujifilm cameras because they had such nice focus peaking compared to my Sony cameras. But the Z6 has even a bigger advantage over any Sony or Fujifilm cameras that makes it even better. Bigger, and higher quality LCD screens, plus at the time the Nikon Z6 had one of the best EVFs so it's incredibly easy to see what you're doing.

Sony A6400 Review – One Of My Favorite APS-C Cameras

The Sony A6400 is a small lightweight APS-C camera designed for photographers and videographers looking to maximize versatility and image quality without compromising performance. Built like a tank, the A6400 is one of the best autofocusing cameras out there with some overall really nice specs. 11fps of continuous RAW shooting, 4k 100mbps video and a Tilting screen for selfies or vlogging. Because Sony omitted IBIS from the A6400, the camera ends up being lighter compared to the A6500 while having a battery that lasts about a full day.

San Clemente Life

San Clemete Life. A rare and amazing sunset in San Clemente California.

A rare and beautiful sunset at the San Clemente Pier last Sunday. This photo almost didn't happen. I didn't have my tripod base plate for my camera and I was running a bit late to the beach. Luckily a parking spot pop up immediately when I got there and I ended up using my Gorilla Pod mini tripod to stabilize the camera. 

I mounted my camera to the Gorilla Pod and then wrapped that around the top of my tripod. It was ghetto and very difficult to stabilize since those things aren't all that sturdy with a 5Dmkii and a 24-70mm f2.8L lens. I ended up actually switching to my 16-35mm because it's way lighter. But in the end it all worked out. I was able to get a few different exposures that I later stitched together in Photoshop.
