As I've been looking more and more into seriously doing drone photography, I've been playing more with the Smart Remote Control App on my Sony A7r and have found that it's really really cool. At first I couldn’t really get it to do everything I wanted, like shooting Raw. But I then discovered you have to actually dig into settings in the app in the camera, and you can unlock a whole new set of features. Color Profiles, Flash settings, and Image quality settings like RAW+Jpeg.

The Lone Climber
While in Zion National Park this winter with my wife and another fam, we were just looking at one of the views when my sister-in-law spotted a strange shape on the mountain. I just thought it was snow gathering on one of the trees but it seemed like it was moving. So I pulled out my Canon 70-200mm lens and slapped it onto my A7r and got a closer look. And lo and behold, a lone mountain climber.
The Legend People of Bryce Canyon
This photo was taken at Bryce Canyon Utah. This was my first time at this location. Never really knew much about it growing up since the Grand Canyon always takes all the glory. But I think this place is more interesting than the Grand Canyon. It's not as epic but definitely more interesting.
The Hoodoos of the Bryce Canyon I've noticed always seem to look best with a little snow around them. So my goal was to hit it in the winter which can be a risk in Utah at this altitude. Luckily we had clear skies and missed any bad snowstorms.
