This is a quick list of some of the best, must-have accessories for the Fujifilm X-E4.
These are the accessories I typically use on my various cameras and I’ve tailor-made this list for the Fujifilm X-E4.

Best Batteries For The Fuji X-E4
A few years ago Fujifilm updated the battery to the NP-W126s battery. If you’re shopping for new batteries or you have some older NP-W126 batteries, you might want to move over to the NP-W126s versions as your backups. Also, there is a new battery for the X-T4 and GFX cameras, so don’t get these confused with those. The NP-W126S is the battery you want for the X-E4.
Fujifilm NP-W126S
The NP-W126s is the official battery from Fujifilm and offers the most efficient discharge profile. Fujifilm sometimes sells these in a 2-pack which can be a bit less expensive than just buying them individually. I typically only need one battery for a day of shooting, so I often just buy third-party batteries as my backups and just run with the battery that came with the camera. |
Wasabi 1450mAh
Wasabi makes the best third-party battery for the Fujifilm X-E4. They no longer offer a battery charger as a bundle so you will have to order that separately if you need one. They have two styles so you can pick the one that fits your needs if you decided to use a third-party battery charger. |
Memory Cards
The X-E4 is still using UHS-I memory cards and it does shoot 4k at 200Mbps which translates to about 25MB/s. This means you’ll need a minimum of a U3 UHS-I card to do video. Most of the UHS-I cards can handle this data stream, but it’s still a good idea to buy a reliable and new card if you plan on doing a lot of videos.

Best Fuji X-E4 Screen Protectors
Expert Shield is my personal favorite brand of screen protectors. Although it probably doesn’t matter too much which brand you choose. I just like their protectors because they have a few options and I tried them all on various cameras and know they work well. On cameras like my X100V or something like an X-E4, I sometimes go with a glass screen since I tend to beat these smaller cameras up a little more than my bigger cameras. But for street shooters, you can also get an anti-glare screen which is nice at reducing reflections. You will lose some clarity with the anti-glare screen protector.

Soft Release Buttons
Don’t just go out and buy any soft shutter. There are some that are made for some other cameras, and they won’t fit the Fujifilm cameras. Always confirm that the soft shutter you’re about to buy will work with Fujifilm.
Sometimes these are very hard to get on. You have to press really hard to pinch the rubber washer down.
Lensmate Soft Shutter
I’ve tried many soft shutter buttons and my favorite brand so far is the Lensmate is my favorite. You have a few styles you can choose from and they are made well and have rubber washers. With all of these soft shutter buttons, they will stay on with the washer but make sure you tighten them every few days to keep them from vibrating loose. |
Other brands have finally caught on to the superior design of the Lensmate soft shutter releases and have started to include the rubber washer that keeps it from vibrating loose.
QiangNi Soft Shutter
The QiangNi Soft Shutter button is nice if you just want a cheap button with a simple design. This comes with a 2-pack so you don’t have to worry about losing it.

Foto&Tech Soft Shutter
Even Foto & Tech has started including the rubber washer on their soft shutters. These work well enough for the price and they offer a lot of simple designs to choose from. So you can experiment to see if you like the concave or convex design. It’s a very different feel. |
VKO Wood Soft Shutter
VKO has a few nice designs for their soft shutters in wood. You can mix and match these with your other accessories to really stylize your camera. They have two styles available as concave or convex in several different colors. These also include the rubber washer. |
Lensmate Thumb Grips
Lensmate is working on a new thumb grip for the Fujifilm X-E4. These are really nice if you want some extra grip for your thumb. I have them on all of my small cameras. I consider them essential. Lensmate Thumb Grip

Straps
Full Strap
There are a few straps I’ve used over the years that I’ve really liked. Some are more expensive, some are cheaper, but the expensive straps are always worth it and last years.

Fuji X-E4 Cases & Bags
There are a lot of great options for little camera cases for the X-E4.
If you want to carry around the X-E4 with some extra accessories and a lens the Mirrorless Mover 10 is what you’ll want, but if you need a case just for the body, the Mirrorless Mover 5 will also work. You can even fit a pancake lens on it, but it’s snug.
Think Tank Mirrorless Mover 5
The Think Tank Mirrorless Mover 5 is the perfect little snug case for the X-E4. The camera fits perfectly in this case. Well, it’s a little tight, but it totally works. You should be able to fit it in the case with one of the pancake lenses. |

Flashes For The Fuji X-E4
Fujifilm makes several flashes, but I’ll list their two compact flashes since that’s kind of the whole point of the X-E4. The Fujifilm EF-X20 and the EF-20.
I have a lot of fun using flashes with slower shutters on Fujifilm cameras and either of these two flashes will give you enough power to have some fun.
The main difference is the Fujifilm EF-X20 is smaller, takes AAA batteries, and does not tilt or swivel. It also has a manual control dial on the top. The EF-20 takes AA batteries and can tilt but has a slightly cheaper build quality. People using the EF-X20 complain that the batteries die quickly and the recycle time is about 5 seconds. The EF-20 is slightly better for this and you’ll be able to use it as a bounce flash which is pretty nice.
Fujifilm also makes a smaller flash they bundle with the X-T4, but if you’re going with a flash you might as well start with one of these since they have more power and won’t drain your camera battery.
Fujifilm EF-X20 – TTL
The EF-X20 takes AAA batteries so you don’t have to worry about it draining your camera, but it has a fairly slow recycle time and make sure to bring extra batteries. |
Fujifilm EF-20 – TTL
The EF-20 is a fairly large flash, but it allows you to tilt the head so fill a room by bouncing the light off the ceiling. It also has a fairly slow recycle time but it takes AA batteries. |
Cleaning Supplies
There are only a few accessories you really need for the X-E4 to keep your camera clean. Micro clothes are a must, and rocket air blasters.
If you get your sensor dirty, you can order sensor swabs or sensor brushes. I personally use the sensor brushes, but sometimes have to go to sensor swabs if oil or a fingerprint or something gets on the sensor. I won’t get into sensor cleaning in this roundup but you can see the sensor cleaning guide here.
(6 Pack) MagicFiber® Premium Microfiber Cleaning Cloths
For the most part, you can keep your camera and lenses clean on the go with your T-shirt, unless you live in a humid climate and are always pouring sweat like a mountain gorilla. Really though, if you ever want to get your UV filters or lenses very clean you need a fresh microfiber cloth. It’s the only way. You don’t always need to do this, but when I do the spring cleaning of my gear, I have to have micro-fiber cloths. They won’t leave lint, and won’t spread extra oil around. |
Rocket Air Small
Rocket air blasters are great little tools to have. It’s a great way to clean UV filters and lenses or to get the dust out of the little crevasses of your camera. I have a few of these of various sizes and always keep one in my bag. |

The Fujifilm X-E4 is an amazing little camera and it takes so many cool accessories. Mix and match with some of the accessories in this guide, or find some other ones you like to really customize your camera and make it look cool.
Being able to customize my cameras with accessories is what I love about Fujifilm.
