Angel Bird V90 UHS-II Review – Benchmarks
We use crystal disk to benchmark each card using a USB-C UHS-II Sandisk reader with Bootcamp on a 2018 Macbook Pro running Windows 10.
Sometimes different readers will produce different speeds with different cards, but in this instance using a very popular reader, the Angel Bird v90 UHS-II gave us a read speed of 290.4MB/s, which is about average for the fastest v90 cards. The only card that performed noticeably faster was the Sandisk Extreme Pro UHS-II card at 293.7MB/s.
When looking at write speeds, the Angel Bird V90 performed about at the mid-range level with a score of 219.5MB/s. By comparison, the Sandisk Extreme Pro gave us a speed of 242.2MB/s. So about a 22MB difference. Some older or other brands of UHS-II cards come in at around 170MB to 190MB/s. So the Angel Bird when is very mid-range with write speeds, but at the top with reading speeds.
