Verbatim has been around for a very long time as a leader in storage media.Â
Children from the 90s may remember using their burnable CDs and then DVDs. Now Verbatim is making various types of flash, SD cards, USB sticks, and other electronic accessories.
The Verbatim Pro+ U3 memory card is their flagship UHS-I memory card and produces some pretty impressive speeds for a pretty good price. With the v30 rating, this is also a great option for midrange 4k video with a data rate of no more than 240Mbps. Which isn’t bad at all when using H.265.

Verbatim Pro+ U3 SD Card Review
When benchmarking the Vertabim Pro+ it performs slightly above its rated spec which is very good.
The Verbatim Pro+ SD card clocked in reading speeds at 98.5MB/s and write speeds at 83.7MB/s using the Sandisk USB-C UHS-II memory card reader.
It’s not as fast as the best cards from Sandisk, Delkin, or Transcend, but it’s very close.
Card Name | USB-C Read | USB-C Write |

Verbatim Pro+ U3 For Video
This card has a v30, or U3 rating. Meaning it has a minimum guaranteed write speed of 30MB/s. When converting that to megabits per second we see a minimum write speed of 240mbps. This means this card will sustain any video bitrate whether that’s 4k or 8k if it’s 240mbps or lower.
Most cameras like Fujifilm and Sony allow you to shoot at lower bitrates, and many cameras today still offer bitrates of only 100-200mbps. So the Verbatim Pro+ memory card is fine for most midrange cameras for video shooting.
